Dr. Jessica Thompson, PT, DPT
Pelvic and Perinatal Physical Therapist
After graduating from the University of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelor’s in Kinesiotherapy, I was a therapy aide in a 100% pelvic floor therapy clinic. Through this experience I saw that mothers’ largest barriers to treatment were guilt and access to care. Without child care, many women could not come to the clinic to be treated. Those that could come expressed guilt about prioritizing their health. I knew that someday I would find a way to make sure all women knew that choosing to take care of themselves is selfless and necessary to serving their family.
I later entered the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at Mercer University with the goal of becoming a pelvic PT. After graduating and later completing extensive training from The Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute, I become a pelvic floor physical therapist. I currently work in Atlanta, GA serving patients in person and serving those across the country virtually.
