Pregnancy

There are many changes to your body while you are pregnant. You may experience pain or difficulty with simple tasks like walking, getting out of bed, and standing from sitting. Physical therapy can help!

Birth Prep

Pregnancy is a marathon, and birth is the final stretch! There are things that come naturally and things that you may need coaching through to facilitate a more pleasant experience.


Birth Prep Sessions Include

 

  • Evidence based birthing positions review with mom and birthing partner

  • Home exercise routine to prepare pelvic floor for delivery

  • Perineal massage 

  • Breathing mechanics during labor

  • Birth plan creation and review 

  • Hospital /birthing center bag packing list review

Pelvic Health

Do you have a history of pelvic pain or discomfort? Have you been diagnosed with a chronic pelvic inflammatory disease? You may also have pelvic floor muscle dysfuntion.

Postpartum Recovery

You’ve read all the books on how to get through pregnancy and care for a newborn, but what do you know about recovering your body postpartum?  

Postpartum Recovery Package Includes 
 

  • Strength and range of motion assessment

  • Core and diastasis recti abdominis assessment

  • C section and perineal scar assessment

  • Pelvic floor muscle screen*

  • Balance, movement, and postural assessment

  • Safe exercise goal planning for first year postpartum

Health Promotion

Diagnosed with pre Type II Diabetes, pre hypertension, or already have these conditions and want help managing them with lifestyle decisions? Sometimes simply being told to eat right and exercise is not enough.
